Denver Ranked Top Spot to Live!
You don’t need to tell the Denver area natives and long time residents, but U.S. News and World Report confirmed that Denver is No. 1 on their list of the 2016 Best Places to Live. More parks, more recreational opportunities, solid economic growth, fantastic weather!
U.S. News analyzed 100 cities based on quality of life, job market, as well as the value of living there and people’s desire to live there. Denver had an overall score of 7.8 out of 10.
Austin, Texas, came in No. 2 with a 7.7 score; Fayetteville, Ark., got 7.5; Raleigh-Durham, N.C. got 7.5.
Colorado Springs came in fifth with a 7.4 score.
“The Best Places to Live ranking accounts for the most important concerns people have about where to live, such as cost of living, employment opportunities and access to good schools,” Miriam Weiner, U.S. News’ product manager for Real Estate, said in a release. “Top-ranked areas not only have steady job markets, but they also have attributes, that contribute to a high quality of life — affordability, low crime rates, shorter commute times and quality health care.”
